The Commons at Marquette University, the new student housing and food service facility that opened in fall of 2018, has achieved LEED® Silver certification. The project had no credits denied in the certification process, achieving 56 points for its Silver rating. That number is just 4 points below a Gold rating.
Ring & DuChateau provided scope HVAC, electrical and plumbing/fire protection design for The Commons, as well as energy modeling and commissioning. In addition, R & D provided full lighting design services for the food service, meeting, study and worship areas of the space connecting the residential towers.
