Madison Youth Arts Center (MYArts) was recently recognized as an energy efficiency success story by Focus On Energy®, Wisconsin’s energy efficiency and renewable resource program. Ring & DuChateau provided mechanical, plumbing/fire protection, and electrical, including lighting and technology, systems design for the new 65,000 sf facility that brings several youth arts programs together under one roof. In total, MYArts received $29,000 in incentives for the efficient design solutions the Ring & DuChateau team specified, including:
▪ Variable air volume (VAV) system
▪ High efficiency condensing boiler
▪ Displacement ventilation
▪ Demand control ventilation
▪ Reduced lighting power density
Eppstein Uhen Architects, a Focus On Energy® Trade Ally, provided architectural services for the project which was completed in 2021.
