Ring & DuChateau provided multi-discipline systems design for this four-story addition to the Chazen Museum of Art.  The addition includes space for permanent and temporary exhibits, a gift shop, conservation and exhibition preparation rooms, lecture halls, a computer learning center and office space.  Systems were designed to provide Class AA museum environment for exhibits and storage spaces, maintained with a backup cooling system and emergency generator should normal utilities be interrupted.  R&D collaborated with LAM Partners on lighting design for the exhibition spaces.
