Responsible for
the detailed design of new telecommunications/data systems
(voice, data, video, fire alarm, nurse call, and other low
voltage control) and/or the integration of a design for an
existing system. Responsible for the IT design,
installation, problem solving, and service experience from the
concept stage through construction of a project without
supervision. Makes decisions independently and represents
the organization to resolve important questions and to
plan/coordinate work. Works under general direction from
the Project Manager and Department Manager with assignments
given in terms of overall results expected. Work includes
regular client contact and some limited business development.
Possibility of some overnight travel to client sites.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Extensive knowledge
of IT systems with overall building design, including space
planning and technology impacts.
Demonstrates
expertise in the design, integration, and implementation of
telecommunications transport systems and their related
infrastructure components.
Ability to prepare IT
drawings and specifications. Knowledge of TIA/EIA
standards.
Registered
Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD).
Minimum of 5 years
experience with design for healthcare, institutional,
commercial, educational, municipal, and industrial projects or
construction engineering. |
